Craftsman training scheme in Kerala is a joint effort of National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) under Ministry of Labour - Government of India and Government of Kerala. The training scheme is intended to create skilled technical manpower requirement for various engineering and non engineering departments all over the world. Craftsmen are those who assist engineer in research and development, Manufacturing, inspection and maintenance.
We offer effective craftsmen training in the various trades at our centers located at Calicut city. One can choose a suitable trade from the following trades.
Mechanic Motor Vehicle.
Course Duration : 2 Years.
Eligibility : SSLC or Equivalent.
Age Limit : 40 years.
On completion of two years training under craftsmen
training scheme, one will be able to confidently enter to
the field of automobile engineering as an assistant. Work
supervisor etc. Job opportunities in this trade is very
high in design, production of various units of
manufacturing plants, operation and maintenance of machines
etc. In addition to technical knowledge one should posses
manual dexterity, creative skill and physical fitness.Eligibility : SSLC or Equivalent.

Diesel Mechanic
Course Duration : 1 Year.
Eligibility : SSLC or Equivalent.

At grass root level machanics are craftmen who do the
actual technical work in workshops and industrial
establishments because of this job opportunity is very high
for those who suecessfully complete this traning in
autosmobile industry and diesel plants. On successful
completion of this one year course, one will be eligible to
get selected as locomotive assistants, work supervisor etc.
in different government departments and industrial

Draughtsman Civil
Course Duration : 2 Years.

To assist the design engineers and to implement the
work designed by them, number of technical hands are
required. This is a challenging field to those who have

Surveyor
Course Duration : 2 Years.

The training scheme is designed in such a way that
trainees get exposed to different types of survey
techniques such as theodolite survey, Chain survey, Plain
table survey etc.Eligibility : SSLC or Equivalent.

Mechanic Refrigeration and A/C
Course Duration : 2 Years.

interesting branch.The global trading is increased the
requirement of cold storage and mobile cold storage units..
On completion of the training program, one will be eligible
to get selected as supervisor, technicians in various

In 1989, the Government of Kerala ordered the discontinuance of K.G.C.E. courses (old scheme) in view of their loss of relevance in the broad spectrum of technical and vocational education in the State.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION AND EXAMINATION
The medium of instruction as well as that of
examination will be both English and Malayalam.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The mimimum qualification for Admission to the
courses will be SSLC or equivalent (Passed or Failed). The
age of the candidate for admission to the first year class
as on 1 July of this year should not be below 14 years or
above 25 years. There will be a relaxation of three years
in the upper age limit for scheduled caste candidates, for
admission.REFRIGERATION & AIR-CONDITIONING
This course is so oriented in syllabus to make them pratically well- equipped to begin their own enterprises at their own door-steps which are highly remunerative. This course has been revised by Kerala Government in the pattern of the NTG course with special emphasis on extra practicals are also arranged.

AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING
Automobile industry has grown upto such a gygantic size that kerala Government has taken a concrete effort to include Automobile Engineering in the fold of its revised scheme of KGCE; . There is no doubt about job opportunities like motor vehicle inspectors, motor mechanics, in the Kerela and outside. The course is so channelised to suit the tastes of enterpreneurs in motor allied indus tries. Extra practicals are also given.

RADIO AND TELEVISION ENGINEERING Radio & Television Engineering have now become a part and parcel of every day lifeSurely, this is a boon to the SSLC standard students with expectation of government jobs like that of Radio and Television mechanics. This certificate course in Electrical branch is newly revised by the Kerala Government, to equip them for the ordinary posts of electrical supervisors, electricians and electrical wireman etc. This course has been simplified to suit the ordinary SSLC Standard students to master the techniques in the Electrical branch of Engineering. Employment potential of this government certified course is very high. More practicals are given.

This two-year course is considered more or less
equivalent to ITI, Civil Draughtsman & Surveyor which

Draughtsman, Surveyor, Overseer, Work Superintendent,
Tracer, Supervisor etc.. Similarly he will be competent in
designing Blue Prints, Estimating etc. This Civil
Engineering passed-out trainees are also considered
basically qualified to apply as licensed building Surveyor,
Supervisors etc. in Town/Panchayath authorities.
